We heard about Mark from various friends and colleagues. He was great at helping us get a mortgage for our unique situation. We’re both from the USA and have been in the Netherlands for less than two years. In addition, I work at TU delft as a tenure tracker which means I do not yet have a permanent contract, and my husband works abroad for a US employer. Our finances would have been suitable to get a mortgage in the USA System, but being in the Netherlands we were nervous about our chances given the system here relies more on employment contracts. However, after a first meeting with Mark and going through our income and finances, he was confident he could find a bank that would take our unusual situation as an opportunity. Within a month, we had a competitive mortgage offer! Mark and his staff were very clear with communication and diligent with document collection and communication. In addition, Mark had worked with our makelaar and the seller’s makelaar, so he is well networked in the Delft area which made arrangements very smooth. We’re very pleased with the result and that a bank was able to make us an offer and we can purchase the home that is a great find for us.
