Worst experience ever; even 1 star is generous. We hired counselor at Hypotheek Visie Hoofddorp in good faith to arrange a mortgage for an apartment we were buying (using equity in our existing house), and he assured us it would be an extremely easy and smooth application. However, despite repeated failed promises and missed deadlines for nearly 8 weeks, we had to find another mortgage advisor who thankfully arranged our mortgage in just one afternoon (!).
We filed a complaint with Hypotheek Visie's main office, and after nearly 6 weeks he finally responded saying it wasn't his fault, placing the blame on the bank and refusing to accept any responsibility.
Thanks to repeated delays in the closing (first from March 1 to March 15, then to April 1, which we still missed), we were required to pay the seller's mortgage and other expenses for March, totaling nearly €1,000 that came out of our pocket. Perhaps not surprisingly, he has refused to reimburse us for this expense.
